01

Helping systems adapt and thrive

GEEL supports innovative, inclusive and climate-conscious approaches that help enterprises, communities and institutions remain productive in changing conditions. Resilience depends on capable local institutions, relevant technology and practical solutions that people can maintain.

02

Technology and digital transformation

Digital tools can improve information flows, service access, enterprise management and decision making. GEEL's approach emphasises appropriate technology, institutional readiness and data use in public-service systems, including digital healthcare.

03

Renewable energy and green solutions

Efficient resource use, renewable energy and climate-smart technologies can reduce costs and vulnerabilities for enterprises and communities. Opportunities include energy efficiency, water management and appropriate solar-powered solutions where locally suitable.

04

Climate adaptation and livelihoods

In a region exposed to drought, flooding and environmental pressure, GEEL integrates adaptation and sustainability into livelihoods and enterprise activities. We consider natural resources, market risks and practical options for strengthening adaptive capacity.

05

Learning and systems strengthening

  • Support for locally developed ideas and enterprise innovation.
  • Strengthening institutions and their ability to sustain services.
  • Use of evidence, monitoring and learning to adjust approaches.
  • Collaboration between communities, government, business and technical partners.
