A regional footprint, locally led
GEEL's operational footprint covers Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and South Sudan. Our regional position allows us to work across borders while responding to the specific policy, market and community contexts of each country.
Presence and cooperation
GEEL has office locations in Mogadishu, Nairobi and Addis Ababa, and an operational footprint that also includes Sudan and South Sudan. Its regional model combines country-level knowledge, institutional cooperation and exchange of experience across locations.
Experience in Somalia
GEEL's historical Somalia programmes have reached more than 16 regions and 50 districts and worked with more than 200 local partners. These indicators are specific to Somalia and should not be read as regional five-country totals.
