01

Strengthening institutions and service delivery

Resilient health systems depend on capable public institutions, effective governance, trained people, reliable information and sustainable funding. GEEL works with governments, service providers and partners to support more inclusive health systems across the Horn of Africa.

02

Digital healthcare systems

Digital health can improve the availability and use of information for planning, continuity of care and service management. Our focus includes health information systems, interoperability, secure data practices and digital tools that respond to institutional needs.

03

Health financing and sustainability

Effective financing requires stewardship, planning, efficient use of resources and arrangements that help services remain accessible over time. GEEL's work considers the institutional and financial systems that underpin health services.

04

Quality, equity and workforce capacity

People-centred health systems need accessible services, appropriate standards, capable staff and institutional learning. Our approach considers service quality, workforce skills and coordination between partners and public institutions.

05

Data for accountable decisions

  • Better monitoring, evidence use and performance information.
  • Institutional capacity for planning, oversight and coordination.
  • Responsible handling of health information and privacy.
  • Continuous improvement through feedback and learning.
